The Orange Seed - Part 4

The Concern of Consequence

It is apparent to me now (and possibly for a long while before) that it is not so much that people intentionally do things to create harm, but they simply are unaware of the consequences of their actions. Take a smoker for example - He/She will pull on a cigarette, possibly in the privacy of their home or at a bar. The smoker is not too concerned with the second hand smoke; the one who curses IS concerned with who hears him...but It's because he wants attention not because he cares; the female with the exposing clothing is simply following style, and sadly, she expects men NOT to stare (well the good for nothing ones at least, the ones she finds cute can). And none of the above mentioned probably care about the little child that's looking to them for an example.

We never set out on our daily live and say "Oh boy I think I'll make a mistake today" but we make bad choices which we later interpret as mistakes but only in retrospect or when we look back. In essence we seem to have grown wiser and can now see the mistake, but it most cases the consequences simply tell us "let's not go there again"

Believe it or not what goes around comes around... now this is not to be interpreted as some superstitious "jumbie" reaction and it also doesn't mean that if you steal money from someone the exact same amount of money will be stolen from you.

The Explanation: Energy. Although energy can be transformed into different forms the total energy remains the same, however, many different channels of energy exists whose total energy also remains the same. BUT the medium which the energy passes through has to experience the two channels of energy subsequently.

Simply put: The thief steals money from an individual so firstly, there is that energy being transformed. That money probably was meant to be given to a person in need and allow the victim to travel home. Now the person in need transforms another channel of energy and there now is the energy of the victim who now has to beg someone for a ride or money to go home, and the person who has to give the victim a ride has used up extra time and reaches home late, and then his family is angry because he reached home late and then the victim's family is mad because he got robbed and it could go on!

Now to the thief who may think that he got away has to, over time, absorb ALL those different channels of energy. So from then on many little things could start to go wrong culminating to one big thing.

On the good side - good deeds work the same way.

Let's say our victim wasn't robbed. He donated the money to charity. That money could have been just the right amount to pay for someone's surgery. The family of the patient is now happy beyond measure that their child lives. The news broadcasts this and now more people start to donate and the once victim's family is now happy because of his his deed and now he must receive all this good energy over time.

Sometimes the energy takes a while to arrive but as Martin Luther King said The Arch of the universe is long and pending but ALWAYS curves to justice!

Many of us usually wonder where good fortune comes from, we tell ourselves "things are going great" or "I wonder what did I do to deserve this"... my advice just say thank GOD and move on.

Similarly when many little bad things go wrong, try being nice so you could put some good will out there.

Remember to pay attention and live good.... It's really all I can say.

Which brings me to the reason for the name of this post. When you plant an orange seed, you don't get back one orange now do you? Remember that!
